Up and away

In 1998 Richard Branson wanted to fly around the world in a balloon. But flying around the world in a balloon is dangerous.

It can land on a desert,it can land in the sea. Ricard Brandson's balloon landed in the sea. There were sharks in the sea.

In 2001 Steve Fossest wanted to fly around the world in a balloon. His balloon went over the desert and the sea. There was a storm but Steve Fossett went on and on. He was the first person to fly 

around the world in a balloon.
I like this book because it gives me knowledge about flying a balloon.

Into The Dark

My name is Alf. I live in London and I am a climbing boy. I climb up the inside of chimneys to brush away the soot so that the coal fires burn well.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         My Master is a chimney sweep. My parents sold me to him when I was seven years old. After seven years I can get another job but what job could I get? My back is twisted from climbing up the narrow chimneys.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     I work for my Master six days a week. The teacher shouts at me because I get soot on her books. It's not my fault. I only have a bath three times a year.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             When we get to a house,my Master puts sheets on the carpet to stop the soot getting everywhere.I stand on the sheets and if I see the owners of the house I have to bow my head.

Then I take off my clothes so I can fit into the narrow chimney. When I first started going up the chimney,I got bruises on my knees and elbows. But now my skin is as tough as leather.

As I start to climb up the chimney,soot falls on my head and then covers all my body. When I look up,soot falls into my eyes and makes them sting.

It is dark in the chimney and I have to feel my way. All the way up I am brushing the soot away and hoping that I can find a way out at the top.

One time,I got stuck in the chimney. I could hear my Master shouting from far below telling me hurry up or he will light the fire under me.

I made myself as thin as possible and slowly pushed myself up. I left most of the skin from my knees and elbow in that chimney.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Another time I climbed up and up,and then ,suddenly,I was at the top of the chimney. I looked far below and I saw a gold carriage going by. It was Queen Victoria on her way to Buckingham Palace!

After I have swept the chimneys in the house,my Master gives me a crust of bread and a cup of beer. The bread gets covered in soot but I eat it anyway.

At the end of the day I am so tired I can hardly walk home. My Master gives me a bowl of thin soup to eat. Then I sleep in the cellar on bags of soot. Tomorrow,I will be up the chimneys again.

Sleping Beauty

A long time ago , there lived a king and queen . They were unhappy because they had no children of their own. After many years , the queen gave birth to a baby princess. The king and queen loved the baby princess very much . They invited all the seven beautiful fairies in their kingdom to the baby's christening. There was to be a special feast on the day of the christening. The king and queen ordered golden plates and golden chess for the seven lovely and kind fairies. Every seat was taken at the feast. Suddenly, the door flew open. Standing there, was an old fairy who lived on the edge of the kingdom. Everyone had forgotten about her. A place was hastily laid; but there was no golden plate or golden chair for the old fairy. She had to make do with silver. She was not pleased. The first fairy gave the baby princess the gift of beauty. The second gave her happiness. "She will sing like a nightingale," said the third fairy. The fourth fairy gave the baby princess the gift of kindness; the fifth gave her good thoughts. "She will dance like a butterfly," said the sixth fairy.The old fairy pushed herself forward. "When the princess is sixteen years old , she will prick her finger on spindle and die," she screamed and flew away.

I can change this spell,said the seventh fairy.When the princess pricks her finger she will not die . Instead she will for one hundred years and then a prince will wake her.If they are no spindles in his kingdom to be burned that very day. The princess reached her sixteenth birthday. One day when she was out walking, she came to an old tower. the door was open. she went inside and climbed up the staircase. what are you doing? asked the princess. i am spinning, said the old woman she was really the wicked fairy who had put a curse on the princess long ago.

When the princess touched the fairies spindle she pricked her finger and fell to the floor in a deep sleep. the wicked fairy thought that the princess had died and flew away happily. the king and queen were heartbroken when they saw the princess lying on the floor in a the deep sleep. the seventh fairy took pity on the king and queen. everyone in the castle shall sleep until the princess wakes, said the seventh fairy. she waved her magic wand. everyone in the castle fell into a deep sleep just like the princess.a great hedge of  briars grew up round the castle to hide and protect it. many tried to get though it, but as fast as the  briars were cut, they grew back thicker than ever. a hundred years past. one day a prince came riding by. the woodcutter told the prince the story his father had told him about the princess and the magic spell. many have tried to cut trough the briars.

The Bear and The Friends

          Once upon a time , there were two friends; one is fat and the another one is thin. They were talking in the forest. The thin man saw the bear but the fat man did not see.Then, the thin man climbed out the tree and left the fat man. Suddenly, the bear jumped out from the bushes and wanted to eat the fat man because the fat man did not climb up the tree. He pretended to be dead because the fat man knew that the bear will not eat dead things. Suddenly, the bear came nearer and whispered something to the fat man. After a few minutes, the bear went away and  the fat man got up. The thin man asked the fat man what the bear whispered. The fat man told him what the bear whispered. The thin man said, "The bear said that to never trust a friend who leave you in times of danger," The fat man was ashamed of his action but he could not reverse the time and undo his actions. From that day, the two friends went their separate ways.

Hooked Up!

Peter Pan had made an enormous kite. He had great fun zooming through the clouds with it."Lunchtime, Peter!" called Wendy. Peter dived down and looped the kite string around a tree to stop it sailing off again. Peter and Wendy had just finished lunch when they heard heavy footsteps. "Shiver me timbers!" boomed a voice. " A kite! A big kite!" Peter and Wendy rushed out to find Captain Hook undoing the kite string from the tree. "That's Peter's kite!" cried Wendy indignantly. "This is mine now, me hearties, " grinned Captain Hook. Peter nudged Wendy and whispered, "It's too big for him." "Too big?" roared Hook, overhearing. "Rubbish!" A sudden gust of wind swept the kite up into the sky and Hook soared up with it. "Aa-aagh!" he roared. " Put me down!" Peter and Wendy laughed. Captain Hook and the kite drifted right out in the sky. " If we rescue you," shouted Peter, " can we have our kite back?" " No!" bellowed Hook. "I want it!" At that moment, the wind dropped. Hook and the kite fell- splash!- into the water where the crocodile was waiting. Mouth open, it swam towards Hook, who tangled up in the kite. "Oh, Peter!" cried kindhearted Wendy. "Quickly!" They flew out to Captain Hook, snatched him out of the water and dumped him on a small island. "Th-thank you," shivered Hook, dripping. Peter and Wendy laughed as they flew away with their kite, but Hook didn't laugh.  And neither the crocodile.

I loved it when they flew out and snatched Captain Hook.

Monsters

Monsters in films look scary!
Like in the film King Kong,it's a monster ape.
King Kong looks scary but it is just a model. The model is 60 cm tall.

In the film Frankenstein,a man called Frankenstein,
makes a scary monster
but it is just make up.

In the film Jurassic Park,
the scary monsters are dinosaurs.
In the film the dinosaur looks scary but it is just a computer picture.

Dalmatians

         Once upon a time, there were ten dalmatians puppies in a  house. Pongo was their father and Perdy was their mother. One day a woman came to the town and she saw a man taking ten dalmatians puppies; she wanted to take the puppies, so she asked the two young men to take the puppies and the young men agreed. The next day, when everybody was asleep, the two young men climbed into the house from the window. They took a big black plastic and kidnapped all the puppies.

          Once they kidnapped all the puppies, the puppies were barking for help. After a few minutes, Pongo and Perdy were awake,they saw all the puppies weren't on the bed so they thought their puppies were gone.Then they messaged their friends, asking for help.

           When the young men arrived at their home, the woman was so excited. The woman said to the two young men, "Tomorrow, we can take the puppies and sell them. If we sell them, we have a lot of money and we can divide into three.'' At last, many police arrived at their home and the police caught the three wicked and cruel people.

Amazing Paintings

Hello everyone.Today I am going to talk about a book that I read.The title of the book is Amazing Paintings by Diana Bentley and Sylvia Karavis. The book is about a group of boys who went into the cave .They looked at the walls.They saw lots of paintings.The paintings looked very old.They went on and found more caves.They went into the caves and looked at the walls and saw more and more paintings.

The paintings were made by the cave's people.The boys brought other people to the cave and showed them the paintings.That incident made the boys famous as they were the ones who found the old paintings.They had found the best cave paintings in the world.

Black Beauty

When I was very young my life was gloriously happy. I galloped with other colts by day and slept by my mother's side at night. But when I was four years old,A man named Squire Gordon came to talk to my master,the horse breeder. He stroked my black coat and white star on my forehead. " Beautiful!'' he exclaimed."Break him in and I'll buy him!''Then he touched white patch on my back. ''It's like a beauty.''I shook with fear.I was going to be sold!Would I have to leave my mother!And what was breaking in? "You must learn to wear a saddle and bridle,"my mother explained.Then the groom thrust a cold steel bar into my mouth and held it there,with straps over my head and under my throat. There was no escape.At first the bar frightened me,but with kind words and treats of oats I learned to get used to it.Just before I was taken to Squire Gordon,my mother spoke to me for the last time. "Now,Black Beauty,"she whispered,"be brave. All young horses must leave their mothers to make their way in the world.Just remember-never bite or rear or kick. And whatever happens,always do your best."When Squire Gordon's groom arrived,he jumped on my back and we rode away. I cantered though twisting villages until we reached a long drive. Apple orchards stretched  out on either side. The groom led me into a large,airy stable with plenty of corn and hay.A friendly whinny from the next stall made me look up. A fat little pony with a thick mane and tail was poking his head over the rail. "I'm Merrylegs,'' he said. "Welcome to Birtwick Park. That was John who rode you here," Merrylegs went on. "He's the best groom around- sand Squire Gordon is the best owner a horse could have. You"ll be happy here." A tall chestnut mare glared at Merrylegs. "Trouble is,no one know how long a good home will last,"she snapped. "I've had more homes than you've had hot oats." "Meet Ginger,"said Merrylegs."She bites. That's why she keeps getting sold,even though she's so handsome."Angrily,Ginger tore at wisps of hay in her manger. "You don't know anything,"she muttered."If you'd been through what I have,you'd bite too." "Poor Ginger!" I thought."What could have made her so unhappy?"

Cinderella

Once,there was a girl named Cinderella and her father,the Baron. They lived alone after the death of her mother when she was young. She loved her father so much.

Cinderella remembering the times when her father used to bond happily as she had rough times after Baron married a widow with two daughters of her own. The widow's daughters were very ugly and cruel and straight away got the name of, 'The Ugly Sisters'.

Soon, the Baron's daughter was forced to be the housemaid. Cinderella was forced to wear rag clothes. She always wear cinders, that's how she was named "Cinderella". She was forced to clean the house,cook dinner and wash the dishes.

A invitation was delivered to all the houses in the kingdom. When the invitation reached at Cinderella's house,her ugly step-sisters were very excited. "We were invited to the ball!!!!", they shouted. "REALLY?"asked Cinderella.

"Daddy,daddy can I go to the ball?" asked Cinderella to the Baron. "You,go to the ball in these rags? Talk some sense girl," shouted the mother and left to the ball. Cinderella was  crying when a spark of light came. "Who-who are you" asked Cinderella. " I am your fairy godmother," answered the fairy.The  fairy godmother used her wand to make Cinderella look like a princess. "Thank you," she said." My magic doesn't last forever; it wears off at the last stroke of midnight.

Cinderella arrived and when she came, everyone wanted to find out who she was, including the prince. He went to the mystery princess and danced with her.When it was midnight, Cinderella ran and left her slipper.

The next day, the royal family went to every house in the kingdom and demanded that every women .have to try the slipper. When they reached Cinderella's house, her two ugly sisters ran and said "it's me, it's me!" but when both of them try it, it didn't fit. When Cinderella try it, the shoe fit.
So, Cinderella and the prince married and on that day Cinderella knew that her fairy godmother is somewhere smiling.
