Why Read?

“We learn to read by reading” (Smith, 1982). This means that the more one reads, the better one becomes. Reading is a skill that must be developed by means of intensive and extensive practices. Therefore the reading program that Eagles International has designed is an extensive reading program. Students nowadays lead far more complicated lives. They travel with parents and their schools during the school holidays, attend a variety of specialty camps from athletic to drama and music. Many work part time jobs. It was also a time before computers, the Internet, and television. When one activity is done with pleasure it will automatically improve the quality of its sustainability. We hope that our students will enjoy writing on this blog and also improve their writing skills.

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg

Hello everyone!! Today I am going to write about one of my favourite novels called Girl Online. This novel was written by my favourite youtuber named Zoe Sugg also known as Zoella on her youtube channel. Zoe is an English fashion and beauty vlogger, Youtuber and now an author.Girl Online was released in November 2014 and broke the record for the highest first-week sales of a first-time novelist since Nielsen BookScan began compiling such records in 1998.

Girl Online is a common girl meets boy story that is filled with adventures, heartbreaks and good moments too. Penny Porter, a timid and filled with anxiety all the time girl started blog of her own called Girl Online and started writing about her school drama, about her friends and about her problems. When she travels to New York with her parents, who are wedding planners, she meets a singer called Noah. Eventually, they fell in love.

But the part that Penny did not know was that Noah was a singer. He did not tell her because his manager had set him up with another pop singer for the media but he wasn't interested in her. It was just for the fame and the fans. When she got back from New York, a few days later, she found out the truth. Hate comments started coming in on her blog, making it go viral and making her look bad. She was hurt, confused and angry. She and Noah eventually broke up.

Things got better, obviously. They had fought and all but still managed to make things right. They were deeply in love again. This was an enjoyable book and I definitely recommend it to all the people who like romance novels like this one. This book has a sequel too, so it doesn't end in a cliffhanger.

I hope you enjoyed this post, till we meet again in my next post :)

The Fairies' Shoemaker

Once  upon  a time, there was a girl called  Marjorie who had a little pram.  Inside, there was a little doll. One day, while Marjorie was pushing her doll in the pram back home, something hurt her. She stopped and took out her shoe, then she felt her shoe. There was a nail stuck in Marjorie’s shoe but she had no choice so she put on  her shoe  and continued  walking. For a while the nail that was stuck in her shoe made a hole in her foot. So she took out her shoe again.
Suddenly, she heard a sound. It was the fairys' shoemaker .He pointed a  tools and shoes on it. So Marjorie decided to buy one pair of shoes for each of her doll for their birthdays. Her family members asked her where she bought  the lovely  shoes but she didn’t tell anyone  about the fairies’ shoemaker. She kept it as a secret to herself.

The 5 Stone Rubies

One day, a robber stole five rubies. The police could not find the robber. Then they called Watsen,  a detective. The next day, Watsen  found a clue. It was a 5.6 meter shoe. All the people in the town could not wear the shoe. A 45 year old man who could wear the shoe was at an old house. The police went there. They found 2 of the stolen rubies and a book and they gave them to Watsen. He found the fingerprint of Moran. The police found Moran and the 3 of the stolen rubies and once again London was saved. ~The End~

The Pig With Green Spots

Once upon a time, there was an old woman called Mrs Loveday. One day, a little girl came into her house. Her name was Lucy. She was very helpful and always did good deeds. Lucy went to the house and she went to the mantelpiece and wound up the clock. She gently put the clock back where she took .

Suddenly, at the same time she knocked the pig off the mantelpiece and the pig smashed into a hundred pieces. Lucy was frightened. She didn’t want to tell anyone. So Lucy crept to the door. But even as she put her hand on the latch, she stopped and thought for a while. She remembered what her mother said, “ don’t run away from anything”. So Lucy stayed in the house. Mrs Loveday came in the house and saw Lucy. She went to Mrs Loveday and said “ I have broken your coin box”. Lucy waited to be scolded. She was surprised Mrs Loveday laughed and laughed. Mrs Loveday wanted the money so badly. She was glad about the coin box being broken. Mrs Loveday went to the shop to buy some butter, sugar and flour. Lucy came back to the house. Mrs Loveday made a cake and she took a slice. Lucy enjoyed the cake and told her mother all about the pig. Her mother was very proud of her.
